Snowsound Celebrates a New Showroom at The Mart—and Two Best of NeoCon Awards

Attendees at the 2021 edition of NeoCon, North America's largest design exhibition and conference for commercial interiors, were able to experience the functionality, technology and good looks of Snowsound acoustical solutions in a variety of settings around The Mart.

In the event space for CEU speakers and Best of NeoCon Awards Breakfast:

Best of NeoCon is the official awards program honoring outstanding new products from exhibiting companies across a wide range of verticals. As always, many attendees kicked off their 2021 NeoCon at the Best of NeoCon Breakfast where the winners of the competition were announced.

As these A&D decision makers and specifiers entered the acoustically challenged multi-functional event space—and every time they returned to attend a CEU session—they experienced a Wow Moment designed by Snowsound. A dramatic installation of Snowsound products on the stage TL Lux and Flap Wings overhead were at work reducing uncomfortable reverberation while also introducing stunning design elements.

NeoCon attendees saw first-hand how these powerful acoustic solutions merge form with function. The testimonial was further reinforced when Snowsound’s Best of NeoCon wins were announced.

The Best of NeoCon competition recognizes new products exhibited at The MART in 52 categories. Snowsound Dunes, a wall-panel system designed by Felicia Arvid, won the prestigious Silver Award and the Innovation Award in the Acoustic Solutions category.

Dunes is at home in a range of commercial settings including workplace, hospitality, education and multifamily amenity spaces. Dunes is a wall-applied acoustic solution consisting of two layers of Snowsound's Fiber Boucle textile. One layer serves as a flat base backing and the other as a three-dimensional sound-absorbing pocket created with repeating pleats held by steel clips.

Dunes has also been honored with an ADEX (Award for Design Excellence) Platinum Award 2021.

In the new permanent showroom 1197 on the 11th floor:

Architects and designers got up close and personal with Best of NeoCon award-winning Dunes as well as Snowsound’s newest introduction Perline in Snowsound's new permanent showroom on the 11th floor of The Mart.

Perline is Snowsound’s new acoustic panel system. It’s a way to incorporate award-winning sound quality plus eye-catching design to any space. Perline is available in a new, softer color palette with teal, gray and pink that all reflect the recent market demand for pastels.

In the Snowsound Experience Room:

A demo is worth a thousand words. Every Snowsound showroom visit at The Mart can also include a stop in the Experience Room. Here, NeoCon attendees were invited to delve deeper into Snowsound technology. Seeing and acoustically experiencing the product in an actual installation is a powerful testimonial to the technology behind the products.

Inspired by nature, Snowsound panels are intelligently designed and engineered to deliver the most comfortable acoustic experience. The innovative patented technology mimics the properties of freshly fallen snow to absorb sound impurities to achieve acoustic clarity in today's modern spaces. The brilliant intuition of Snowsound's patented technology gives Snowsound panel designs the highest sound absorption effectiveness with an NRC rating of 1.0.

In the 7th Floor pass-throughs:

Attendees also connected with Snowsound on the 7th floor of The Mart every time they walked the pass-through connecting the two main sections of the Exhibit Hall.

As they traveled through these “mini acoustical retreats” they enjoyed relief from the hustle and bustle of NeoCon. These zones provided a demo of Snowsound’s powerful noise control technology which lessens uncomfortable reverberation (echo) in even the most challenging settings.

Contact Snowsound for a free acoustic analysis. We can calculate how reverberant a room or space is and the optimum number of Snowsound Technology Panels, Snowsound Fiber Products or Snowsound Fiber Acoustic Textiles need to create spaces that sound as great as they look.
